Feature Updates: Dynamic Metadata Display & Extended Asset Rights Display

We have launched two new features to simplify metadata use and strengthen rights compliance for CI HUB Connector users – introducing the Dynamic Metadata Display and Extended Asset Rights Display!

Let’s take a look at how they will work:

Dynamic Metadata Display

Large DAM systems can often contain 100 or more metadata fields, reflecting the needs of different departments, campaigns, and compliance rules. Presenting all of this information to every user creates confusion and slows down workflows.

The new Dynamic Metadata Display solves this problem by tailoring the metadata view to each role or department. With this new feature, CI HUB Connector users will see only the metadata fields that matter to them within their interface, reducing complexity and accelerating asset selection.

How it helps:

  • Streamlined workflows: Reduce dozens of metadata to only what users need
  • Faster onboarding: New employees can get started quicker without extensive metadata training, improving DAM adoption.
  • Reduced support burden: Fewer tickets caused by metadata confusion.
  • Flexible configuration: Administrators define field visibility through Corporate Central Control, with support for multiple groups per user.

The Dynamic Metadata Display ensures that users in every department see only what they need, making metadata usable and DAM systems easier to adopt at scale.

Extended Asset Rights Display

Companies are creating ever more content on the go, with hybrid teams often working across regions and time zones. This makes staying on top of asset rights more important - and challenging - than ever before.

But in practice, rights metadata is often buried in back-end fields, making it difficult for creatives to spot potential risks. This can easily lead to delays, legal exposure, and, in some cases, even costly copyright violations.

With our new Extended Asset Rights Display, companies can transform their DAM into a rights-intelligent compliance platform. When using CI HUB Connector Professional, users can view a simple, color-coded visual indicator of the asset rights status.

  • Red: Rights expire within 90 days
  • Yellow: Rights expire in 90–180 days
  • Green: Rights valid beyond 180 days

Hovering over the asset will display the exact expiration date and any geographic restrictions.

How it helps:

  • Proactive compliance: Teams can identify assets whose rights expire in the near future.
  • Faster production: Legal reviews can be reduced significantly or shortened in duration.
  • Clear, visual signals: No more metadata confusion.
  • Quick start: Implementation takes less than two hours for most DAMs.

The Extended Asset Rights Display feature builds proactive rights protection right into your existing workflow, eliminating enterprise risks while allowing creative and marketing teams to move faster.

Do you have questions?
We have the answers

Dynamic Metadata Display requires simple configuration in Corporate Central Control configuration, and your DAM system needs to send user-group information via API (most already do).

Extended Asset Rights Display can be implemented in a few hours by your DAM system, as long as you have metadata fields with rights information about your assets. Alternatively, CI HUB also offers a native integration with the fadel.com rights management platform.

Not at all. Both are designed to simplify the user experience. Metadata becomes more relevant, and rights information is shown visually, right inside the creative and productivity tools your teams already use.
