The CI HUB Connector supports Locking/Unlocking (or Checkout/Checkin) assets in the integration. The integration needs to support this via the API. In the CI HUB Connector you can set a lock for a selected asset and unlock a selected asset. If the supported integration supports it, then

• a locked asset will display the information who locked it
• you can lock an asset
• if you locked an asset you can unlock an asset

The restrictions that apply to a locked asset depends on the integrations setup. In general we assume that a locked asset can still be downloaded and used, but there is no update or new version possible.

This feature allows one or more assets to be uploaded to a system and then automatically relinked. The user can choose in the link panel upload area whether he wants to turn this feature on or off.
