Adobe Max 2024 Event Recap: Highlights and New Features

Winter may be coming, but last week we were on the sunny shores of Miami Beach for the hottest ticket in town – Adobe Max 2024!

More power to the creators

A major theme of this year’s event was celebrating the creative power and expressiveness of every creator – something we passionately support at CI HUB. With the event hosts announcing a laundry-list of new features (see below) the bar was set high for everyone wanting to stand out.

Never to be out-done, our team made a statement with our amazing LED wall and graphics – a big thanks to Tony and the design team for this great display!

Our team of Andy, Gerd, Stef and Louis were on hand to promote the CI HUB Product Family – CI HUB Connector Professional, CI HUB Connector Corporate and CI HUB Drive.Over the course of  hundreds of conversations and dozens of presentations, they created the AHA! moments of the day for booth visitors who were amazed to see how much more they could do with the Adobe tools they know and love, by integrating CI HUB.

One favorite quote of the day was: “CI HUB taught me everything I need to know about putting all my data in one place – I'm very excited to use it!” 

Finding our Sole-Mates

Even with all the glitz and glamor, one of the keys to a great booth is having the best freebies. So, we’re pleased to say that one BIG attraction was the CI HUB booth, where we handed out hundreds of pairs of free branded flip-flops!

We had visitors from every corner of the world at our booth: from native Floridians to Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Tokyo and beyond.

To everyone that we met, it was a huge pleasure to speak with you at our booth. Our conversations, which all started with the simple question, "Which color and size do you prefer...?", were truly valuable. We deeply appreciate the personal connection we made with you.

New Adobe Creative Cloud Features

Adobe announced over 100 new features for its line of Creative Cloud apps, including many new Generative AI integrations which will make their tools even easier and more accessible to use.

Here is a quick breakdown of the key innovations: 

Adobe Firefly:

• The introduction of Firefly Video Model (beta) for generating video from text and image prompts up to four times faster. 

Photoshop:

• New Distraction Removal technology for removing unwanted elements from images. 

• Generative Workspace (beta) for simultaneous ideation and iteration. 

• Substance 3D Viewer (beta) for editing 3D objects in 2D designs. 

• Launch of Generative Fill, Expand, Generate Similar, and Generate Background features. 

Illustrator:

• New Format-Adaption Capabilities
  

• Objects on Path feature for arranging objects along any path.
  

• Enhanced Image Trace for easier and faster image-to-vector conversion. 

• Generative Shape Fill (beta) for adding detailed vectors to shapes. 

• Project Neo (beta) for creating and editing 3D designs. 
  

• Project Turntable  (beta) for creating 3D Perspectives out of 2D drawings

Premiere Pro:

• New Firefly Video Model for creating b-roll to fill gaps

Frame.io:

• New version with expanded support for audio, photo, and design collaboration. 

Adobe Express:

• New enterprise capabilities for AI-powered workflows and asset management. 

• Integration with Photoshop and Illustrator to extend creative power. 

• New features for enabling marketing, sales, HR, and other teams to utilize created content. 

• New Import for Adobe InDesign Documents

Wrapping things up

Despite the threat of Hurricane Milton in the days before, we knew this was not an event to miss. With almost 10,000 in-person attendees and 95,000 more joining online, it was the right decision.
